Log Files

Vantage Point Wellness follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Vantage Point Wellness. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

Client Confidentiality

The information disclosed and discussed during your sessions will be held in strict confidentiality consistent with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Professional Associations. However, we are required by our association to engage in clinical supervision, which helps uphold a high standard of practice and accountability. I may consult with a supervisor about your case to discuss treatment plans and seek feedback, however, no identifying information will be shared. We are both still bound by client privacy and confidentiality terms. 

Personal information will only be collected and documented for the sole purposes of providing you with therapeutic services. All paper documentation is stored in a locked filing cabinet and any digital file material is stored on an encrypted and password-protected flash drive and on a secure online platform. 

We comply with Provincial patient privacy laws to ensure discretion when accessing telehealth services. We use a secure platform that complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of BC (PIPA BC). It’s important to note that we can’t guarantee full privacy, but we have taken every measure to ensure your privacy. Confidentiality will be addressed during your initial intake session and again throughout the course of our work together. There are a few exceptions to breaking confidentiality and these will be clearly outlined during your first session and as needed.
